Kim Huynh
Kim is currently in school for a Global master’s in public health with Imperial College London (Remotely!) and has a B.S in Food Science from UC Davis. Though she did not venture into the typical food science route, she quickly learned how she could use her passion for food science and incorporated that into community health education in AmeriCorps as a Healthy Futures Specialist at Auburn, WA Parks, Art, and Recreation. Since then, she has 7 years of administrative experience working in various sectors; non-profits, UC campuses (Davis and SF), startups and biotech companies. Her work experience has ranged from helping build a point-of-purchase labeling initiative to increase accessibility to nutritious foods for UC Davis students, creating digital toolkits for small-scale farmers in compliance with federal food safety regulations, coordinating patient care at UCSF in three different departments, and most recently, providing administrative assistance for executive leadership for a biotech company. Throughout this time, Kim recognized how valuable her public health experience was, especially in AmeriCorps, and followed the calling back to being in school again as a public health student. Now, as the administrative assistant at the Possibility Lab, she is excited to be a part of an organization that contributes to meaningful, community-centered work.
