Diego Garza

Graduate Student Researcher (GSR)

Originally from Mexico, Diego is a bilingual (English/Spanish) community engagement and social impact leader with more than eight years of experience across nonprofit and corporate sectors. He has lived in the Bay Area for six years, where he has developed programs focused on neighborhood activation and economic development in San Francisco.

Diego is currently pursuing a Master of Public Affairs at UC Berkeley and serves as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Possibility Lab, where he explores innovative approaches to community engagement and public problem-solving.

His work focuses on building meaningful partnerships, designing community-centered programs, and using data to advance equitable, lasting impact. He is especially interested in the intersection of business and social impact, and in how organizations can work alongside communities to create more inclusive, thriving places.

A certified yoga instructor, Diego also brings a holistic perspective to leadership, well-being, and personal growth.
