
Cesar Alesi Perez is a Research Associate at the Possibility Lab. Before he joined the lab, Alesi was a Research Associate at the Public Policy Institute of California where he focused on higher education policy. Prior to that, Alesi was a research assistant at the San Diego Housing Commission and a Family Economic Security intern at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth.
Alesi is passionate about using data and research to reduce inequality, improve state capacity, and promote the abundance agenda. He holds a Masters in Public Policy from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at UCSD and a BA in economics from UCLA.
In his free time, Alesi likes to log every movie he watches on Letterboxd, record music demos with his brother, and wait patiently for the Padres to win their first world series.
