Carolyn is currently a PhD student in Criminology, Law & Society at the University of California, Irvine. She holds a B.S. in Marketing and a M.A in Intercultural Communication. Her current research focuses on police training effectiveness and applied critical race theory through mixed-method experimental criminology. She also contracts with local governments to engage in transformative work to complicate their approach to and understanding of equity, inclusion and justice in the communities they serve.
