Chris Lee
Senior Researcher

Identifying as a data-driven idealist herself, Chris is excited to join the Possibility Lab as a Senior Researcher. She received her PhD in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley and has spent much of her career located at the intersection of research and practice. She brings years of experience collaborating with practitioners and administrators to help inform program and policy with research and data, including services for young people and families and the community college system. She enjoys working with program partners to unpack meaning from research findings and helping to identify how what is learned can be applied to practice.

Her research interests center on developing evidence informed public policies and programs that help lead to a more equitable lived experience for all communities, including access to opportunity, progress and success. She is also interested in how trauma-informed frameworks may help to inform more equitable processes and engagement across various practice contexts.

When she’s not immersed in spreadsheets and data files, Chris enjoys being outdoors. Whether it’s working on her green thumb, camping, mountain biking or enjoying good food and drink, there’s a good chance you can find her outside. She also enjoys a good book, live music, trying out new recipes, and being around furry friends.
