2023: JANUARY 09 // Convening: Alternative Metrics for Public Safety
January 9, 2023

January 9, 2023
In January, we hosted the first convening of a new Community of Practice focusing on Alternative Metrics for Evaluating Public Safety. The convening brought together a diverse group of participants including researchers, practitioners, funders, and advocates who shared papers, projects, research questions, and thoughts on the challenges and opportunities of introducing new approaches to measuring public safety.
We look forward to continuing to build upon the momentum of this moment, by supporting others who are also working to understand what safety means—from problem definition to prevention and evaluation—in order to achieve meaningful and sustained progress.
