2024: February 22 // Conversations with Possibility featuring Josh Fryday

Our Conversations with Possibility speaker series got off to an inspirational start with California’s Chief Service Officer and head of California Volunteers Josh Fryday. Josh joined Lab Executive Director Amy E. Lerman for a discussion of how new models of service and civic engagement can be replicated and scaled to improve communities and develop a new generation of civic leaders.

“To create a culture of service in California, we need everybody,” Josh shared during the conversation. “We need to send the message, especially to the next generation, that for a democracy to work and for us to actually tackle the challenges ahead of us, people have to serve. We need everyone’s help to create the opportunities that give people the chance to serve in their communities.”
